Calero is not only an org-chart tool. It is for your personal and professional network: richer than Apple Contacts, with timelines, circles, and optional work structure—still local-first on your devices.
Do I need an account?
Core Calero use does not require a separate Calero cloud login. Optional iCloud (CloudKit) sync uses your Apple ID and Apple’s CloudKit storage to keep your library aligned across iPhone, iPad, and Mac—not a public Calero-hosted CRM database on the web.
Where is my data stored?
Primarily on your devices in app storage. iCloud sync, when enabled, stores encrypted CloudKit data in your Apple ecosystem. Treat device and iCloud backups as part of your security posture.
What are contact circles?
Contact circles let you group people (e.g. “Client A”, “Board”, “Programme X”) and switch an active circle so lists and flows focus on that slice of your network without duplicating records.
Can I save filter views?
Yes—where supported, you can save named filters on People and Projects and reapply them quickly.
How does search work?
Unified search inside the app finds records across entities. On device, Calero can also index into system Spotlight so you can open items from the iOS or macOS search UI.
Is there a web app?
Not in v1. Calero targets native iOS and macOS for responsiveness, widgets, Spotlight, and privacy.
Does Family Sharing apply to the subscription?
When Family Sharing is enabled for Calero’s subscription in the App Store, eligible family members can share access to the paid subscription per Apple’s rules—the same way other shareable subscriptions work. It does not create a shared Calero contact database for the family; each person’s data stays in their own app and iCloud account unless they export or share it themselves.
How do I report bugs or request features?
Use the Feature request page on this site. For legal questions, see Terms and Privacy. For GDPR, employment, and governance context, see Privacy, governance, and employment.
The app will not install or crashes on launch
